ELISA Diagnostic Kit for lgM Antibody to Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1

INTENDED USE

Diagnostic Kit for IgM Antibody to Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (ELISA) is used for in vitro qualitative detection of lgM antibody to herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) in human serum or plasma. HSV-specific lgM antibody can be detected in one week after infection with HSV, suggesting a recent or recurrent infection with HSV. HSV-1 and HSV-2 typing testing is an effective measure to ensure that selective antiviral therapy can be implemented clinically as early as possible and that viral infection and transmission can be reduced. The kit is intended for assistant diagnosis and typing of early infection with HSV. The product shall not be used for prenatal screening in asymptomatic populations and the detection result generated by this reagent shall not be used as proof to terminate the pregnancy.
